Here's a little more about UKCarScrap and our network.
UKCarScrap is committed to reducing pollution and waste associated with vehicle disposal. We provide consumer-friendly, safe access to the scrap industry by working with fully licensed Authorised Treatment Facilities.
What is an Authorised Treatment Facility?
Authorised Treatment Facilities are the only organisations permitted to handle end of life vehicle disposal and provide an authentic Certificate of Destruction (CoD) in the UK.
Our vehicle recycling UK network is fully licensed and regulated by the Environment Agency, Scottish Environment Protection Agency or Natural Resources Wales to collect and recycle scrap cars in line with current end of life vehicle legislation, so every car we handle is dealt with lawfully.
Every scrap car collected through our vehicle recycling UK network is recycled to the highest standard for responsible end of life vehicle disposal, with a Certificate of Destruction issued for each vehicle. Every centre in our vehicle recycling UK network recycles at least 85% of each scrap car, compared to an industry norm of 75-80%, so more of your old vehicle is reused rather than buried in landfill. Our network of centres continues to push recovery rates higher, with up to 95% of each vehicle now recycled or recovered, in line with the UK target for end of life vehicle disposal.
We are committed to delivering a friendly and professional car scrapping service to all our customers, providing telephone and email support throughout your car's end of life journey.
